Starting December 1, 2020 all travelers arriving to Taiwan must present a negative Covid19 PCR test result certificate, issued within 3 days of arrival to the country. This applies to both citizens and foreigners traveling for any reason. The only three exceptions are:
- Emergencies – such as funerals, visiting a first or second relative with serious sickness or seeking urgent medical treatment.
- Traveling from a country where self-paid Covid19 tests are not available.
- Programs managed by relevant ministries and agencies and approved by the CECC
In all three cases, travelers will be a subject to coronavirus testing on arrival at own cost and must fill in a health-declaration.
